Develop your leadership skills, transition to the next level or improve business results with emotional intelligence (EQ) coaching.

EQ Coaching

If you’re looking to become a better leader, handle adversity, cope with uncertainty or manage complexities, coaching is an effective way to improve your emotional intelligence.

I’m an ICF accredited coach with a speciality in emotional intelligence who can help you identify your EQ strengths and develop your emotional intelligence. I work with private clients, entrepreneurial leaders and organisations.

What is Emotional Intelligence?

Emotional intelligence is a set of emotional and social skills that influence the way we:

  • Perceive and express ourselves
  • Develop and maintain social relationships
  • Cope with challenges
  • Use emotional information in an effective and meaningful way

The overall result of well-developed emotional intelligence is effective emotional and social functioning, which is linked to your well-being (and happiness).

Once you better understand your strengths and capacities, EQ coaching can help you optimise your development. During coaching, I’ll help you to formulate a plan to identify these strengths and capacities and, create the time and energy to improve on these.

Excellent developmental tool

The EQ-i 2.0 Assessment is an excellent development tool. It encompasses 15 EQ competencies, which are the foundation for better decision-making, communication, self-regulation and self-awareness.

Flexible and Adaptive

Whether it happens to us, or we make it happen, change is inevitable. Developing your EQ helps you to be more flexible, independent, assertive and optimistic in the face of change. EQ coaching can also help you change direction and realise new goals.

    Thinking Partnership

As well as improving self-awareness, coaching can help you think more strategically about where you want to go and how you’re going to get there. As a leader, there are often few people you can truly speak to. Coaching can help you think ‘out loud’, envision the future, explore new ideas, stay on track and accountable with your goals.

Developing your EQ skills provides you with the tools and perspectives to be more strategic or intentional in your decision-making. From gaining more clarity to better tackling the complexities of work or life, EQ is an invaluable skillset.

      Step 1

I start by having you complete an EQ-i 2.0 Assessment. This will highlight your strengths and point to areas you can explore and develop to further your emotional intelligence.  It will also give you a detailed picture of how balanced your 15 EQ competencies are.

      Step 2

We’ll then have a debriefing session to review your results to better understand what they mean for you both personally and professionally.

      Step 3

I believe that a single session required to review the results of your EQ-i 2.0 is not enough. To truly optimise your EQ-i, I offer a package of follow-up coaching sessions. During these sessions, we’ll create a client-led plan that is right for you.  Consistent one-to-one coaching sessions help to ensure continued progress towards reaching your goals.

Human interaction is an essential part of any business. More and more, companies around the world recognise this fact and the pivotal role emotional intelligence plays in leadership.
